Amongst all the cows Argentina is known for converting to internationally-renowned ribs and steaks there must be a few they keep around and milk for converting into what is apparently also internationally-renowned dulce de leche. Literally translated as "candy of milk", this dairy concoction consists of cow juice, sugar, and vanilla, and basically tastes like caramel. According to Amazon reviewers, Argentinian company La Salamandra makes some of the best dulce de leche, a toast/baked good/ice cream topping that is smoother and creamier than other brands' attempts.
The La Salamandra dairy milks their cows daily, and then funnels the product into its caramelization chambers without first passing it through tanks, trucks, or storage areas where it could spoil. The company recommends spreading it like butter, using it to fill crepes, drizzling it on waffles, or plopping a spoonful of it into your morning coffee.
