BioLite Smokeless Fire Pit
BioLite doesn't make its FirePit smokeless with "a weird chemical fuel or a gas flame." It's all real wood, real crackles, and real dancing blazes that you can get lost in, or gaze into for signs from the Lord of Light. The only thing missing is the particulate permeating your clothes, hair, and lungs.
The FirePit absorbs the unburnt fuel that creates a wood fire's smoky castoffs. BioLite has designed the portable flame box with a fan and 51 airjets across its body that add oxygen to a lit fire at key points. The process evens out temperatures and the mixing of internal gases to improve combustion. And eliminate smoke without affecting the fire's sound, smell, and feel.
BioLite says the FirePit's highly efficient tech also facilitates building a roaring fire with less wood. And the airflow system has 4 fan speed settings, so you can control exactly how roaring your flames are. From your mobile device. Ugh. Mobile device at the campfire. You're kinda losing me there, BioLite.
But I've told I'm old and lame, so I'm sure plenty of others are still with you. Anyway, FirePit fan intensity controls are accessible from a BioLite Energy app for Android and iOS.
You can also use the FirePit to cook. Its inner fuel rack accepts charcoal along with wood so you can make yourself a hibachi grill for meals, and then switch over to a campfire at night.
The FirePit fan is nested inside BioLite's now-hallmark USB-rechargeable orange power pack. (It debuted in their CampStove and also makes an appearance in their NanoGrid lighting and charging system.)
