That's a Wrap - The Best Christmas Movie Themed Gifts
I mean that's a wrap...job. Box up a piece of your favorite person's favorite Christmas movie and cover it with festive paper and shiny string. These Christmas movie themed gifts give fans the opportunity to take a token of the films off the big screen (now the small screen since all of these flicks are on regular TV rotation this time of year) and into the world with them.
Some of these Christmas movie themed gifts are direct replica attempts at memorable props used in the films, while others just represent worthy tributes to holiday viewing we look forward to all year.
Note: Christmas movie themed gift prices are shown as they were at printing. Prices are subject to change.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Moose Mugs
"Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?" "Naw, I'm doing just fine, Clark." And you'll be doing just fine too with these replica glass moose mugs from the greatest Christmas movie ever. (Yeah, I crowned it.)
A Christmas Story Ralphie Parker Men's Deranged Bunny Pajamas
The Old Man: He looks like a deranged Easter Bunny.
Mother: He does not!
Ah, leave it to Mama to defend her little boy come hell or horrible pink bunny onesie pajamas.
Ralphie will be glad to hear this set of bunny PJs is not made for a 9-year-old boy. It's made for a grown-ass man. Like you, or whatever dude you want to bring cinematic classic joy to this Christmas morning.
Bad Santa Stuffed Pink Elephant
Merry Christmas, Thurman. It's a pink - not purple - elephant, and maybe the only good thing bad Santa Willie has ever done for anyone.
In addition to portly middle school boys bullied by a gang of teenage skateboarders, these stuffed pink elephants would make terrific gifts for infants and people in the hospital recovering from multiple gunshot wounds.
It's a Wonderful Life Bell
I don't think the tinkling metal bell shown in It's a Wonderful Life had a tag hanging off it that said "It's a Wonderful Life." No angel wing charm either. But how else will anyone know your silver bell gift is an ornamental tribute to the movie, and not for, say, calling the family to the Christmas dinner table without them?
I might prefer to use it for the latter though. Change the saying to "Every time a bell rings, a hungry dude gets some chicken wings."
Love Actually Heart Necklace
This is a gold-plated heart necklace with ruby inset, modeled after the one from Love Actually. And if you've seen Love Actually maybe you're wondering the same thing I am: uh, who do you wrap this thing up and give it to?
In the movie, Alan Rickman's character bought the heart necklace on the sly for the sexy secretary he was considering cheating on his wife with. Then his wife, Emma Thompson's character, found the necklace hidden in his coat pocket and thought it was for her. Then! When they exchanged gifts what Rickman gave to her was a scarf or gloves or some non-jewelry BS, thus making her realize he's having an affair.
She got really sad. It was really sad.
So, yeah, not a lot of good vibes attached to this necklace. But it sure is purdy.
Home Alone Buzz's Girlfriend Photo & Kevin's Battle Plan Print
One word: Woof! This sweet Home Alone prop replica gift set includes the 4" x 6" photo of Buzz's sexy lady, an 11" x 8.5" copy of Kevin McAllister's Battle Plan for taking down the Wet Bandits, and also (not pictured) a printed Wanted poster of the bandits themselves, Marv Murchins and Harry Lyme.
Elf Sweater
I'm sure you could find a full-on Buddy the Elf costume, complete with pointy-tipped hat and curly-toed shoes, online too. But I'll bet Tipsy Elves' ugly Christmas sweater version of your favorite little 6'3" Santa's helper will be a lot more comfortable to wear to Christmas dinner, and will look just as good in family photos. You're welcome, Mama.
A Die Hard Christmas
Written by Doogie Horner in the brilliant poetic style of "The Night Before Christmas", and illustrated by JJ Harrison in the bloody poetic style of the machine gun- and German terrorist-laden Hollywood action flick, A Die Hard Christmas follows McClane's heroic efforts to save a group of hostages taken at his estranged wife's Christmas party. And also win back his estranged wife, and get them both home in time for Santa.
If you're looking for a new holiday tradition, the illustrated Die Hard Christmas would kill to step in and welcome you and yours to the party. Pal.
Charlie Brown Christmas Tree
They say this Charlie Brown Christmas Tree is a nice reminder that the holidays are all about love, but I say it's an even nicer way to eliminate the time, hassle, and mess it takes to buy and put up a real tree. What a pain in Santa's fat gut that is.
Plus, Charlie Brown's tree comes with a Linus blanket.
Plus, you won't be killing a real tree like all the other ax murderers out there.
A Christmas Story Leg Lamp Shot Glass
Don't let anyone - ahem, Mama - who's taken more than 2 shots from the Leg Lamp Shot Glass use it again that night unless you want your piece of A Christmas Story in shatters. It's fra-gee-lay.
The Leg Lamp Shot Glass, while not as elaborate of an homage to A Christmas Story as the full-on Leg Lamp, or the A Christmas Story Village, is the perfect vessel for fans of Ralphie Parker and family to use in toasting the holidays. Or to use in staying partially drunk until they're finally over.
Nightmare Before Christmas Cuckoo Clock
I don't know if The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween or a Christmas movie because, I'll be straight, I've never seen it. But I do know this is a badass cuckoo clock for anyone out there who believes any cuckoo clock can be described as "badass."
When the clock strikes the hour in the world of The Nightmare Before Christmas it's not a little bird that pops out to tweet Cuckoo! but a little Zero ghost-dog that pops out to the tune of "This Is Halloween."
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Village
You can go all out Clark Griswold and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on your holiday decorating this year without risking falling off the roof or running up a thousand-dollar electrical bill. Just make yourself a Christmas Vacation Village with these miniatures from Department 56.
The collection includes over a dozen iconic places, props, characters, and scenes from the film. Your tableau of Christmas Vacation miniatures starts with the Griswold house, complete with functional (albeit an inaccurate number of) lights in your choice of solid or flashing modes. To it you can add the Griswold Holiday Garage, a Fire It Up Dad! Rusty figure, Cousin Eddie's RV, and then Cousin Eddie himself. In his classic and festive cleaning-out-the-shitter pose.
