Two words: sensory overload. Not only do before me I see a fork, a spoon, and a pair of chopsticks all mish-mashed together into one phantasmagorical Asian food Uber Utensil, but I'm also feeling the sharp blow of brilliance from the branding team who named them Spork Chops. Which is a moniker Clever Devil Award-winning on many different levels.

  1. Spork Chops is a precise and succinct description of what the product is.
  2. Spork Chops is basically a portmanteau word--one space away--which would make it a portportmanteau (or portmanteaumanteau?), since spork, the combination of spoon and fork, is itself a portmanteau. Whoa, right? I need to remember not to think about that when I'm high.
  3. It is kind of fun to say "Spork Chops."
  4. Probably because "Spork Chops" sounds like pork chops, which are both delicious, and often make one subsequently think of bacon.

Orders include two sets of 10" Spork Chops, ripe for chopstick pros, ambitious single-grain-of-rice picker-uppers who want a Plan B, and those who fumble around for a few bites, and then say "Screw it," and flip 'em so as to finish dinner before next Saturday. The utensils are reusable, but should be hand washed only. At their widest points, the spoon and fork attachments are 7/8" and 5/8" respectively.
