Ha! With the Sol Reader no one will ever see how big you have to make the font on your eReader because you refuse to admit you need reading glasses ever again! And not only does this wearable eReader hide your E ink size from judgmental eyes, it also brings your text so close to your own eyes that you might still be able to read 12-point font from the Sol without squinting.

On the downside, the Sol Reader takes the general shape of a pair of glasses, and while it weighs only 3.7 ounces, it looks real clunky, and kinda has the aesthetic of cataracts glasses, so I'm not sure wearing them will make me feel any better about myself than wearing +0.25 readers.

The main benefit I can see to owning a Sol Reader is the comfort you can achieve with the rest of your body while using them. That is, you can recline, lay flat on your back, or curl up on your side in bed, on the couch, or in your favorite cushy chair, and not have to grapple with a handheld e-Reader or physical book. The Sol Reader is always there, at the perfect viewing distance and angle, no matter what position you contort yourself into. Page turning, bookmarking, setting adjustments, and other actions are controlled via a small remote control that pairs via Bluetooth to the wearable eReader.

The Sol Reader accommodates DRM-free books, articles, and newsletters, delivered to the glasses from the Sol mobile app on an iOS or Android device. Its optical modules are designed to replicate the experience of reading on paper, with E ink displays that are side-lit by warm white LEDs. Since the Sol Reader is so light, it wears like sunglasses rather than a VR headset, and no head strap is necessary.
