The contents of the Pet First Aid Kit don't seem all that different from the contents of a human first aid kit. Gauze, bandages, tweezers, a tongue depressor (a tongue depressor?! Ha! I perish the thought of what would happen if I tried to stick a tongue depressor down my cat Zanzibar's throat.) But if you have a dog or cat, or other furry / feathered / slithering friend, I guess it's better to keep your preparedness for their potential injury or trauma separate from that of your kids'. So you don't end up getting fur or infected cat eye juice in George Jr.'s playground scrape. Or vice versa.

At 7" square, the Pet First Aid Kit is packs down to fit in your car or pack, or secured to your dog's back during hikes. It comes with a Walks 'N' Wags Manual with instructions for dealing with various pet injuries until you can get your buddy to a vet. This includes checking vital signs, choking, bleeding and wound care, broken bones, poisoning, and burns. Pet First Aid Kit contents are as follows:

  • 3 x Gauze Rolls, 4 x Square Gauze Pads, 4 x Rectangle Gauze Pads
  • 1 x Elastic Bandage, 2 x Patch Adhesives, 1 x Triangle Bandage
  • 1 x Pack of Exam Gloves
  • 1 x First Aid Tape, 2 x Wooden Tongue Depressors
  • 1 x Tweezers, 1 x Scissor
  • 1 x Cold Pack, 1 x Emergency Blanket
  • 1 x Saline Solution, 8 x Antiseptic Wipes
