Speaking in euphemisms, the BolaWrap 100 is a handheld "remote restraint device that discharges an 8 foot bola style Kevlar tether at 640 feet per second to entangle a subject at a range of 10-25 feet." Dude-appropriate translation: it's a Bat-Toy you can use to stop bad guys!
"You" being law enforcement officers, of course.
Creator Wrap Technologies fills each BolaWrap 100 cartridge with the above mentioned 8' Kevlar tether. Once discharged, the cable shoots forth and strikes like a viper, or my hand reaching for the last jalapeno popper, wrapping around its target's ankles, knees, waist, or wherever the shooter points the laser-guided cartridge.
A 9mm blank ejects the BolaWrap Kevlar tether, whose discharge speed enables it to wrap 1 to 3 times from 10 to 25 feet away. The process inflicts minimal pain on the subject, enables officers to catch someone on the run without shooting lethal weapons, and keeps officers at a safe distance from potentially dangerous criminals.
