Fury's Tactical Kuba-Kickz is a lightweight plastic, spiked insert that fits between the weave of shoelaces and serves as a--how do you say?--balls-on accurate, devastatingly effective, though non-lethal self defense tool. This seems like a grand idea for runners, hospital workers, students who walk around dark campuses or stumble home from frat parties at 3 a.m., all citizens of Detroit...almost anyone able to walk and achieve a reasonable degree of knee and hip flexion in these dangerous times we live in. Fury also claims that the proficient use of Kuba-Kickz requires little self defense training, so given that I sometimes watch Billy Blanks Tae Bo infomercials late at night, I think even I qualify!
Kuba-Kickz fit behind shoelaces, and on top of the shoe's tongue where they more or less blend in unobtrusively. A full range of colors are available, including white, black, beige, grey, and even shin-splitting pink. Measurements are 1" wide x 2-1/2" long x 1-1/4" tall x 9,000" debilitating.
