From bean to brew, I made this coffee by hand! See this manual coffee grinder - with ceramic burrs so there's no thermal conductiv- what? No, She-Ra: Princess of Power, I didn't grow and harvest the beans myself.
Anyway, in a lot of ways, hand grinding with a burr grinder is even better than using an electric one because you can get the precise grind you want from anywhere, even while camping, and- what? No, I didn't roast the beans myself either.
Fine, fine! I didn't make my coffee entirely by hand! I just put some whole beans in a manual coffee grinder, set my preferred grind level (fine), and turned the crank a few times! But it didn't end there. The elbow grease continued to flow when, instead of brewing my grounds in some stinkin' Mr. Coffee, I used an Aeropress to squeeze out the perfect cup of Brazilian dark roast, all flavors of citrus and dark chocolate intact.
So, no, I am not a coffee farmer or roast master, but can I get a small break and a modicum of credit for my efforts?
Sheesh, wife, don't you have a battle you can go fight with Hordak or something?
The manual coffee grinders shown here come in 4 sizes, varying in both appearance and jar capacity. The one above has an 11-ounce jar.
