I have to admit, I like PBR. And not just for its trailer park trendiness and dive bar cheapness and tall boy aesthetics. What I really like is that it tastes like saltine crackers. Truly, the gustatory resemblance is uncanny. If I were ever on Top Chef and had to compete in a deconstructed food challenge, I would dump cumin, hot sauce, Cheez Whiz, and a hunk of beef jerky in a pint of Pabst and call it a bowl of chili. And I would win.
But the real order of business here is this Pabst Blue Ribbon Can Lamp. The world's greatest beer teaming up with the world's greatest means of combatting darkness, and then capping off their merger with a handwoven pull tab shade! Dorm rooms, bar rooms, game rooms, all rooms predominantly occupied by dudes, do you hear the light, fizzy, yet decidedly yeasty call of the luminescent PBR?
Creator Gerrard Paschke promises that Pabst in desktop light form has a sturdy build, with a stained and lacquered wooden base. It stands 13-1/2" tall, and likes to eat 40 watt light bulbs.
If for some ungodly reason you are not a Pabst fan, Paschke will also make you a lamp from a vintage Budweiser, Blatz, Old Milwaukee, or Schlitz can, or even new beer, sodie, or energy drink cans.
Muchas danke to Cool Material.
