Float Water Relaxation Cap & Support
I used to have a membership to one of those isolation tank therapy places (coincidentally also called Float). You'd climb in these completely enclosed, completely pitch black sci-fi looking pods filled with about a foot of bath water and many, many pounds of epsom salt for buoyancy. Then you'd just lie there, floating, alone with your thoughts for a whole hour. It's meant to be a good stress fighter and relaxation technique, as well as a means of opening your neural pathways to increased creativity and productivity. And obviously I needed it given my stress of living at home rent-free with my mama and the mental challenges I face spending all day long trolling the internet and BS-ing about the rad stuff I find.
This Float head cap and accompanying strap supports operate under a similar philosophy of water therapy and experiences of deep relaxation. However, they are much cheaper than ongoing floatation tank visits, and can be used in pretty much any body of water. High concentrations of salt that make you feel like you've been shot by a plasma pistol if any gets in your eye are not necessary.
Float Caps are made of neoprene, Lycra, and Polyethylene foam. Supports, a pair of floating straps that attach to the legs and improve lower body buoyancy, contain neoprene, Lycra, and soft Velcro. Aiming to grant freed from all external distractions and send you into a state of total bliss, Float provides a sense of weightlessness that can change the whole chemistry of the body. Benefits include:
- Muscle tension relief.
- Lowered blood pressure.
- Lowered heart rate.
- Pain relief.
- Aid in injury recovery.
- Removal of stress-related chemicals, such as adrenaline and cortisol, from the bloodstream.
- Introduction of beneficial endorphins.
- Taking the brain to a theta state, often considered deep and healing, and achieved only through extensive meditation.
