SilentKeys - The Go-Incognito Keyboard
SilentKeys launched its Kickstarter campaign today, seeking your funding for your privacy. This plug 'n' play USB keyboard connects to any computer and turns all key strokes and actions you complete while using it incognito.
Privacy tech design firm Preevio believes internet viruses, ads, trackers, and surveillance are "invading our lives." They created SilentKeys as a defense. As users browse and conduct their business online, the keyboard (and its accompanying desktop and browser) will block third party access to their sessions, maintaining security and privacy from the invaders. A secure hub of anonymity, SilentKeys aims to protect all data, guard against identity theft, and prevent hacks. Some specific features and benefits you'll get:
- Secure online banking
- Bypass censorship and web filters
- Watch international TV
- Stop viruses and spyware
- Stop ads and tracking
- Keep your boss (and your government) out of your beeswax
Once SilentKeys is plugged in, you'll be able to switch between Windows, Linux, and MacOS using its integrated desktop or browser. The keyboard has a SilentKeys button that activates a secure Satya Desktop or Satya Anonymous Browser. The desktop requires a computer restart to create a "full rock-solid private environment"--a completely traceless machine. The browser provides a temporary anonymity bubble, and opens from your existing desktop for quick online tasks that don't require exiting your current session. The Satya Anonymous Browser (SAB) is based on the Tor Network Browser.
You can read more about SilentKeys' desktop and browser, plus its design and open-source software on the keyboard's Kickstarter campaign page. You can also pledge for your own there through July 5, 2016.
