I've seen sonic beer foamers, and even sonic beer foamers, before, but one nice thing about Peacher's is that the device performs its head-making, draft-tasting magic on canned beer while it's still in the can. You don't even have to open it first. So it becomes easy to throw the compact, handheld foamer inside a cooler for tailgates, days at the beach, or backyard BBQs.

The Fizzics Beer System also claims to give canned (or bottled) beer a fresh draft flavor, but it uses fluid and gas, rather than sonic technology, and you have to accept it into your kitchen as another full-on countertop appliance. Peacher's foamer is about the size of a computer mouse, and latches onto the top of an unopened beer can. Turn it on (it's not clear for how long, but I'm guessing no more than a minute) and Peacher says the sonic pulses it emits will transform your Belgian from the shelf into a sweet yeasty nectar that tastes like it came straight from the tap.

Oh boy, I can't wait to see what this thing will do to my Bud Light Limes! I'm hard pressed to believe they could taste any better than they already do.

The Peacher Sonic Beer Foamer operates on 2 x AA batteries. I can't attest to how well it works, but if you're looking for a gift for a beer lover, it's a pretty easy and reasonable one to test out.
