Earin - World's Smallest Headphones

I wasn't aware there was a competition to create the World's Smallest Headphones, but apparently Earin has been proclaimed--or proclaimed itself--the winner. The Swedish company says their wireless earbuds are the absolute smallest available on the market. Each pair serves as one Bluetooth headphone to produce quality sound cable-, attachment-, and largeness-free.

Earin buds each measure a mere .5" wide x .8" long and weigh about 0.2 ounces in tandem. Compatible with both Bluetooth 3.0 and 4.0 technology, the earbuds sync for play times of up to 3 hours when fully charged. Charging comes courtesy of a proportionately small carry-along capsule, which also stores the tiny sound giants when not in use.

Earin prides itself on simplicity and straightforward functionality. Their earbuds have no superfluous sensors or lights, and no microphone. Earin, they say, "is for music lovers--and music lovers only." That said, since music lovers presumably like listening to their music without concern that their headphones will slip out and fall down a sewer grate while walking to work, Earin has 3 sizes of foam tips to ensure secure fit and comfort. They also include a concha lock that twists towards the ear's concha to further cement the earbuds in place.

Earin earbuds run as a Kickstarter campaign through July 23, 2014.

Like the cordless idea, but not Earin's steep $200 price tag? Check out the Swage Sport Bluetooth headphones.
