Stelton Pure Black Knives
Sometimes applying the all-black treatment to common household items looks rad (e.g., jacuzzis, toilet paper). Other times it looks like it might kill you if you use it (e.g., toothpaste, bottled water). I think Stelton owns the first group, doing blackness a solid with their Pure Black series of kitchen knives.
Stelton has designed Pure Blacks to be as functional as they are stylized. The knives aren't cheap, and are intended for regular, serious use, not just display with the occasional removal to slice through plastic packaging. Each is made from a single piece of stainless steel so that handles and blades black-bleed together. Some may not dig the feel of this feature, but it does ensure the blades won't loosen or separate from their handles over time, plus makes the knives more hygienic and easier to clean.
Pure Black knives are available in Utility, Small Chef, Bread, Santoku, Large Chef, Boning, and Carving models. They are made of stainless chromium steel and covered in a soft matte black coating.
