Socket Blocker - Outlet Cover for Drywall & Painting
Socket Blockers are domed adhesive covers for outlets and light switches that protect electrical components from getting clogged with paint and debris when you're sprucing up your wall color or doing drywall work. It takes the place of painter's tape, reducing both associated fire hazards and damage to outlet hardware, and the mess of cleaning up those areas when you're done.
The Socket Blocker appeals to me because between my own condo and my mama's house, I believe I have repainted no fewer than 24 walls, and replastered one, since COVID started. And thanks to stay-at-home orders, WFH transitions, and there generally being nowhere else to go, home remodels, refreshes, and upgrades have hit a peak for everyone during the pandemic. I see no signs of it slowing down either, and painting walls is one of the least expensive ways to make a big change in the look and feel of your home.
Socket Blockers are made of recycled PET material, fitted with a pre-taped foam adhesive that holds fast during painting and drywall work, and removes clean afterwards. Each Socket Blocker cover can be reused up to 5 times.
