Japanese Kiridashi Pocket Knife
Marc Liss hand makes his Japanese kiridashi pocket knives, or dashis, from recycled files. He says, amongst knife makers, files are considered to be forged from some of the best steel there is, often 1095 or W1. So in revamping the old into the shiny new Liss has created a nod to a traditional Japanese design that should be as useful and practical as it is mighty nice to look at. Mighty nice indeed. I almost want to give the Shit Bitch You Is Fine bear I got to a Liss Japanese kiridashi pocket knife instead of my fiancee for Valentine's Day.
Dashi blade uses include carving, cutting cord, opening boxes, light prying, gardening, and removing splinters (and possibly creating stab wounds in the process on that one.) You can specify whether you want your knife made for a rightie or leftie, as well as the color of the leather sleeve and cord Liss also makes to custom fit each blade.
The pocket knives measure 4" from tip to tail.
