Solid Gray Hardshell Backpack
Solid Gray has given the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a makeover for the 2010s and invites you to play an active role in the re-imaging with their hardshell backpacks. The 4 color schemes available highlight general rebranding guidelines of: More Ninja, Less Turtle. Muted tones up the stealth factor in white, black & white, white with script, and dark gray. The shells will house crime-fighting tortoises on TV, and protect your laptop and notebook of Shit I Gotta Fucking Get Done in real life.
I made most of that up. It's what happens when one has a healthy imagination and no scruples. The backpack part is true, though. Solid Gray's line of insect- and crustacean-inspired carriers mimics the animals' natural design for ergonomic, lightweight structuring--they weigh just 2-1/2 pounds--and exteriors tough enough to protect the contents inside, even during mad turbulence and roundhouse kick-offs with Chuck Norris.
Shell construction utilizes an ultra-thin layer of an advanced plastic called polypropene block copolymer. The material is extremely lightweight and can be folded millions of times without breaking or tearing. Additional backpack components include aluminium rivets, used to assemble the hardshell, interior EPDM foam padding, and polypropene straps. Two interior compartments accommodate larger items (laptops up to 15-1/2"), as well as maintain accessibility to smaller ones, such as phones and inkless pens. The backpacks' lifespan should be indefinite, but if owners no longer care to use their Solid Gray, the Netherlands-based company will recycle it in its entirety into high-purity technological materials.
Backpack dimensions are 19.7" x 12.6" x 7.9".
