G-RO Smart Luggage & Backpacks
G-RO made its first go at conquering the hassles of bag packing and bag schlepping a couple of years ago with the G-RO Carry-on. After a successful crowdfunding campaign and production run for the lone piece of luggage, the company has expanded its line both vertically and horizontally, with larger and smaller G-RO suitcases, as well as a series of G-RO backpacks. All maintain trademark G-RO characteristics, including charging capabilities, an ergonomic design and durable construction, and "wheels that let you roll over everything."
Oh, those G-RO wheels.
The luggage collection's most obvious upgrade to standard roller bags is its reinvented wheels. Months of design and testing produced a pair of ultra-slim, lightweight, large-diameter G-ROllers able to traverse any surface or terrain. Made of super-strong aerospace and firearm-grade polymers, the wheels should roll smoothly over steps, curbs, gravel, cobblestones, even snow. In addition to saving travelers from heaving their bags up stairs, fighting with them every rough step or snag, or just giving up and carrying them, the cooperative G-RO wheel design aims to make the bag feel lighter and more balanced, and allow for faster movement when rolling it.
New G-RO luggage includes the Check-In, a larger, high volume bag that starts at 86L and can expand to 96L, and the Office, an everyday commuter bag you can also use as a small carry-on. Both come with TILE Slim Bluetooth trackers, and in your choice of material and color. Choose from Ballistic Nylon and Carbon Fiber for the big guy, and Ballistic Nylon, Stingray Polyblend, and carbon fiber for the smaller case.
G-RO backpacks swap out the handy wheels for handy external USB charging ports. The Backpack XV is a utility-style bag that can also accompany you on daytrips and treks through the city. It's expandable from 15L to 32L and has a padded compartment for a 15" laptop, along with a bevy of pockets and pouches. The Backpack Light streamlines the XV into a slim, minimalist bag with 10L of space for at 13" laptop and EDC essentials. Both backpacks have TILE Slims, and come in the nylon, polyblend, and carbon fiber materials.
